SuperEva's online guides are back: finding an expert online just got easier
Milan, October 1, 2008
- superEva's online guides are back with a myriad of new features. The
guides were created on the superEva portal in March 2000 as a meeting
place for internet surfers interested in a specific topic and experts
able to satisfy these curiosities.
The first guides
were extremely innovative for their time. Based on the About.com model,
the guides were instantly successful and became a reference point for
people going online for the first time, as well as for more experienced
users who wanted to learn more about a specific topic. They were so
successful that in 2001 a new series of guides were released called
superGuides (thematic guides managed by well-known experts). Soon
after, the "Super-Guide of the Internet" was published and presented at
the prestigious Book Fair in Turin.
Today the new and improved guides are divided into 10 channels and
edited by more than 200 experts. Recently revamped by the Blogo team,
the guides now offer more detailed content and a new graphic design.
Information and news have been rearranged and readers can actively
participate in discussions.
The layout of the guides is much more simple, but at the same time
increasingly practical and efficient, offering users an extensive array
of news, images, surveys and the chance to interact with experts online
in real time.
The re-launch of the Guides is an occasion to encourage experts to
participate and get involved with projects related to specific topics
or themes and share their knowledge with the rest of the web.
"Over
the years, the guides have collected a wealth of information on
specific topics. It became necessary for these guides to evolve in
order to meet the new demands of readers, who are increasingly
inquisitive and news-oriented. While in 2000 there was a basic need to
discover the net, today things have changed: readers now want to go
in-depth on specific topics." - stated Marco Magnocavallo, founder of Blogo - "Thanks
to the experience that Blogo has acquired in vertical community
management, we decided to accept this new challenge and re-launch
superEva, the historic brand that has contributed to the success of
Dada over the years.".
With 5.7 million unique
visitors and 46 million page visits per month (as of September 2008),
the Blogo network continues to pursue its strategy of expansion into
the niche blogging and nanopublishing sector. Blogo's strategy was set
into motion last spring following its agreement with Dada to manage the
brands that have made Italian web history, such as Splinder and other
brands under the Dada Group.
Coming soon: the re-launch of Cinema.it and the internationalization of
Splinder through Motime, the well-known brand used in the US, Brazil
and the UK.
