TvBlog Awards 2008: the winners are in!
Milan, February 8th, 2008 - The winners are in for the 2008 edition of the TvBlog Awards. More than seven thousand votes came in from readers of TvBlog, Italy’s most popular television blog (www.tvblog.it). “Striscia la notizia” brought home the award for best comedy and satire show, as well as best program of the year. “Forum” was a surprise winner for best entertainment and “Report” was unmatched in the information category, winning best information program.
Flavio Insinna and Luciana Littizzetto were nominated TV’s personalities of the year. More TvBlog winners included: “Tg1”, “Amici”, “Chi vuol esser milionario?”, “Che tempo che fa”, “La domenica sportiva”, “La storia siamo noi”, “Il capitano 2”, “Raccontami”, “La Baronessa di Carini”, and “Camera Café”.
The revelation of 2008 was "I soliti ignoti". According to TvBlog readers, this year’s short comings were “Celentano" with “La situazione di mia sorella non è buona” (biggest let-down of the year); “1,2,3 stalla” (worst program of the year) and “Buona Domenica” (trashiest show of the year).
