The 6th edition of the D-Day took place today in Milan at Sala Buzzati, under the patronage of the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Innovation and Technologies. The topic of the two round tables, chaired by Marco Montemagno, anchorman of SKY Tg24, concerned the relationship between information and journalism and between music and new media
Milan, November 21st, 2007- After the welcoming introduction of Professor Piergaetano Marchetti, Chairman of RCS MediaGroup, on the changes that information is undergoing, Paolo Barberis talked about the Net and the role online readers and “actors” could have in this scenario.
The speakers discussed on various aspects of information underlining how the future convergence between printed paper, web, radio and TV is already here and how Internet can contribute in changing and renovating journalism, provided that the ethical duties have been complied. The first round table’s speakers were Antonello Perricone, CEO of RCS MediaGroup, Lilli Gruber, journalist and writer, Kay Rush, journalist, TV and radio anchorwoman and Massimo Mantellini, one of the most active bloggers in Italy.
The second round table, introduced by the extraordinarily sexy voice of the Italian singer Irene Grandi, on the relationship between music and new web and mobile technologies and the new ways of listening to music, more and more simply and accessible. Maximum representatives within the music field spoke during this second round table: from Marco Argenti, Managing Director of Dada.net, the high tech guru Ralph Simon, MEF Americas Chairman Emeritus and Founding Chair, Gerard Grech, Strategy and Business development Director, content division, Orange Group, Stefano Carboni, program Director of Radio Monte Carlo and François Le Genissel, Head of Finelco Group’s International Relations.
They all agreed in saying that Internet has nowadays become a two-way tool amongst music artist and their fans, thanks to which well known or unheard music bands can become famous and spread the emotions that only music can give us.
