Chairman & Founder

Paolo Barberis is the Chairman of Dada, a leading international provider of web and mobile community & entertainment services.

 

He founded Dada in 1995 together with Alessandro Sordi, Angelo Falchetti and Jacopo Marello, after many years of research in digital communications.

 

Dada supported the development of the Net throughout Italy right from the very beginning by leading online users to discover the new phenomenon and providing them with new products and services aimed at transforming the Net into a natural meeting place.

 

In 1999 Barberis founded superEva (www.superEva.it), a leading brand on the Net which gathers together a large community and offers a wide range of entertainment services.

 

Barberis was also involved in the creation of the main Italian Internet Associations: in 1998 he became a founding member of the Italian section of IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) and in 1999 he founded the Italian chapter of ISOC (Internet Society).

CEO & General Manager
Barbara Poggiali was born in 1963 and graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1984 with a degree in Engineering. She began her professional career in management consulting, first with McKinsey and then at Bain & Co in Milan.

In 1995 Barbara joined Francesco Caio’s team for the startup of Omnitel (currently Vodafone Italia), where she stayed until 2000 covering several roles including Director of Strategic Planning and Director of the Consumer Division.

Barbara left Omnitel to manage the syndicate Dix.it (comprised of eBiscom, Pirelli, Banca di Roma, etc.) competing for third generation UMTS mobile licenses. She then joined eBiscom (currently Fastweb), where she took on the role of Managing Director.

In 2002 Barbara briefly worked at Telecom Italia on the Chairman’s staff. Soon after she moved to London to work again with Francesco Caio as Managing Director of Mobile Telephony for the turnaround of Cable and Wireless.

After ten years in the telecommunications sector, Barbara joined RCS Media Group as Chief Development Officer, responsible for business development, international development, M&A strategies and new business management until December, 2008.

In January, 2009 Barbara became CEO and General Manager in Dada, of which Board of Directors she has been a member since December, 2004.
Deputy General Manager & Chief Corporate Officer

Lorenzo Lepri graduated in 1996 from the Bocconi University of Milan majoring in Business Economics.

 

From 1996 to 2000 he worked at Mediobanca where he was responsible for extraordinary financial operations as deputy director of financial services.

 

In 2000 Lorenzo joined the Dada Group where he is currently Deputy General Manager and Chief Corporate Officer, in charge of the administration, finance and control division, legal and corporate affairs, strategic planning, merger&acquisition and investor relations.

 

In addition to being a Dada S.p.A. board member, Lepri is chairman of Dada.net S.p.A., Register.it S.p.A., Upoc Networks Inc., Dada USA Inc., Nominalia S.L., E-box S.p.A. and Clarence S.r.l.; Lorenzo is also member of the boards of Namesco Ltd, Dada Entertainment LLC, Dada Iberia S.L., Dada China, Amen Netherland B.V., Amen Portugal Lda, and Amen UK Ltd. Since 2008 Lepri is a member of Amen France SAS Supervisory board.

Managing Director Dada.net

Recently appointed Managing Director of Dada.net, the subsidiary company that manages all consumer business for Dada S.p.A., a leading international provider of web and mobile community and entertainment services, Max Pellegrini has played a key role in the internationalization of the company’s D2C product, in the U.S., Spanish and Latin American markets. At the creation of Dada Entertainment, a joint venture between Dada and Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Max was appointed CEO in October 2007 and he still covers this role.

 

Before joining Dada in May 2000, Pellegrini worked for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where as a Senior Manager in the Strategic Services Division he specialized in the planning and integration of complex programs of organizational change. In AC he worked with clients operating in the oil and chemistry industry and the utility sector specializing in Internet Economy as the General Manager of a start-up company held by AC.

 

Massimiliano Pellegrini graduated from the University of Florence majoring in Business Administration. He has been recently appointed as a Board Member of MEF Americas, the Global Organization for Mobile Entertainment, where he is leading an effort to expand the organization into the LATAM markets.

Managing Director Dada.pro

After graduating in Mathematics from Cambridge University in 1994, Corbetta started his career as a Consultant in the Strategic Services Division of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

 

In 1998 he joined McKinsey&Co where he worked on several projects mainly in the banking and telecommunications sectors. Specifically, he worked on the reorganisation of one of the largest Italian banks. In 2000 he obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration at INSEAD, France.

 

Claudio Corbetta joined Dada in December 2000 as Director of the newly-conceived ASP Services Business Unit, then, after having planned and carried out the merger of all Dada ASP activities into Register.it S.p.A., he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the new Register.it S.p.A. in 2002.

 

Following the acquisition by Register.it S.p.A. of Nominalia SL in August 2006 and Namesco Ltd in July 2007, Claudio Corbetta became Managing Director of Dada.pro business unit and Chief Executive Officer of the above mentioned companies – respectively leader in Spain and UK in domain & hosting market.

Senior Vice President Business Development Dada.pro

Alessandro Sordi is Senior Vice President Business Development of the Dada.pro business unit, and co-founder of Dada, the leading company in web & mobile community and entertainment services. He founded Dada in 1995 together with Paolo Barberis, Angelo Falchetti and Jacopo Marello.

 

Alessandro Sordi holds a degree in architecture and formerly was Chief Executive Officer, Vice-president and Commercial Director of Dada S.p.A. as well as member of the Board of Directors of Dada until June 2005.

 

Particularly interested in new technologies and the net development, Sordi is member of the Board of Audiweb, i.e. the company representing the top national and multinational spenders in advertising. He is also member of the Fedoweb Board of Directors, i.e. the association gathering the major on-line editors.
