Dada's Music Movement signs global deal with EMI Music

Dada, the recognized market leader for mobile entertainment and legal music downloads, teams up with EMI to grow Dada's catalog to over 2 million tracks licensed for distribution in Italy

Florence, November 5, 2008
- Just six months after its launch, The Music Movement (www.dada.it) continues to rapidly expand its catalog, solidifying its ranking as a top player in the online music market by adding the digital catalog of EMI Music, one of the world's leading music companies, to Dada's users in whatever format they prefer, from DRM-free Mp3s to full-track mobile.

"Dada's Music Movement is a very interesting new service that brings together the sampling and buying of music with various social features. We're always looking for new ways to help bring our artists and their fans closer together and so are pleased to support Dada in the development of their new service," said Mark Piibe, EMI Music's Global Head of Digital Business Development.

"We are really proud to have signed this agreement with EMI for the worldwide distribution of its rich and prestigious catalog. Our users will now have more opportunities to share their passions with friends through the experience of enjoying high-quality music, on their mobile and their PCs" stated Marco Argenti, Managing Director of Dada.net.

The social music community
Dada's Music Movement is much more than just an online store where users can listen to music without limits and legally download music at a very attractive price. It is also an active social network that puts music at the center of the community.
As users listen to tracks for free and create playlists of their favorite songs, their friends can see what they are playing, thus discovering new music that they may like. Users can create "musical moods" for the whole community to share, creating an environment in which the music becomes the message.
Thanks to Dada's strong ties to the major record labels, users have access to a huge number of artists and exclusive content such as previews of songs, video interviews or live chats with artists.

DRM-Free Music
In order to deliver music in the way that users demand, The Music Movement makes its catalog available for download on both PC and mobile devices in Mp3 format without any Digital Rights Management (DRM) attached. These high-quality (256/320 kbps) tracks can therefore be copied and played on any computer, mobile phone, iPod, iPhone or any other Mp3 music player without restrictions.

Adding EMI's catalog will further strengthen Dada's position in the digital music market, with 2 million tracks by over 35,000 artists.
