Dada wins contract for exclusive sale of mobile advertising space for Vodafone Italy
Milan, March 12, 2007 – Dada, a leading international provider of Web and mobile community and entertainment services (listed on the Italian Stock Exchange: MTAX STAR Segment: DA.MI), was awarded an exclusive contract last December for the management of advertising for Vodafone’s direct marketing tools, Freetime SMS and MMSmania and on the home page of the “Vodafone live!” WAP portal using banners.
The mobile advertising market in Italy for this year is estimated to reach €30 million, representing a 60% growth from 2006. Equal investments are now being made by both the Mobile Content Service Providers and the traditional advertising investors who are now discovering the huge potential in this new channel of advertising.
“Mobile advertising represents a sure investment for those companies intent on developing new and efficient direct marketing channels. The mobile phone is commonly perceived as exceptionally personal and is able to attract an extremely high level of attention, more than any other communication tool,” said
Alessandro Sordi, Co-founder and Managing Director of Dada Ad.
“Today SMS and MMS are the most common mobile advertising tools, but 2007 will be the year of display advertising, or banners on mobile portals. These will allow advertisers to plan their campaigns easily and effectively thanks to the introduction of matrix and measurement techniques associated with the Internet.” This contract represents an important step for Dada, which through it’s advertising agency, Dada Ad, is the overall leading agency in Italy for mobile advertising. Moreover, Dada has 10 years experience in web advertising through its own network,
Dada.net, which today has over 7 million users and is amongst the first 300 most visited websites in the world (font: Traffic rank Alexa).
